Michael F. Martin

I'm a UCSD, Chicago, and Stanford trained scientist/lawyer/investor.

My formal training is in law and science (physics and physical chemistry). Over the past 10 years I have written for newspapers, prepared photorefractive polymers, crystallized proteins, measured single molecule-fluorescence and plasmon propagation, prepared and prosecuted patent applications, advised on technical and legal issues relating to patent infringement and licensing, and managed financial and operational functions for a venture capital fund.

I am the founder of Venetian Capital Management. Located in the heart of Silicon Valley, VCM focuses on investments in patented nanotechnology, semiconductors, optics, signal processing, and other analog and digital technology. Our mission is to increase the flow of the highest quality R&D into the market.
